These "awards" are for movies (and only movies) I watched for the first time.
- Titus - Hopkins, Lange, Cumming, and others do Shakespeare's most brutal play comically.
- Tom Segura: Disgraceful - One of the more relatable comics I've seen. Extremely funny.
- Marc Maron: End Times Fun - Intelligent comedy at it's finest and funniest.
- Jay and Silent Bob Reboot - I love Kevin Smith, but had to turn it off.
- Pet Semetary (2019) - When even Lithgow sucks, you know it's bad.
- Bert Kreischer: Hey Big Boy - Absolutely hilarious. One of my new favorite comics.
- Ragnarok - Different spin, with a modern-day Thor! Slow at times, but captivating. Season 2?
- Kingdom (Series) - Despite having everything I like in theory, it's just too familiar and boring.
- The Breadwinner - Brilliant animation, combined with the incredible story of an Afghan girl.
- Roma - So beautifully executed, but so incredibly depressing.
- Train to Busan - Second time watching. I had forgotten how sad it is.
- A is for Acid - Charming and cunning lead lifts what always feels like a TV movie.
- Spenser Confidential - Just what the doctor ordered. Mindless fun. Plus, Iliza is in it!
- Lost Girls - Superb lead lifts Netflix film about Long Island serial killer.
- Marc Maron: Too Real - Not as solid as End Times Fun, but his sarcastic wit is my thing.
- Killing Them Softly - Sharp writing, clever camera work, adds to a somewhat cliche plot.
- 12 Angry Men - Revisited one of my 5 favorite films. Still up there. Perfection!
- Mississippi Burning - Finally, but I was unimpressed. Fine actors wasted on a poor script.
- Wendingo - Surprisingly good cast doesn't have much to work with. Tense, with flat ending.
- Marc Maron: Thinky Pain - Intelligent. Like Seinfeld, without the annoying voice.
- Voulez-vous Rire Avec Moi de Soir? - Boring, unfunny documentary about comedy.
- Hostiles - Feels like it wanted to be a Cormac McCarthy film, but it isn't. Stellar Cochrane.
- Maps to the Stars - Despite some of my favorite actors, a swing and a miss for Cronenberg.
- The Valhalla Murders - Well acted, but painfully predictable. Been done before, and better.
- Chris D'Elia: No Pain - His style might annoy some, but his stories are hilarious.
- The Saratov Approach - Dull throughout, with an ending that left me with more questions.
- Once Upon A Time In London - Felt like forever. Didn't click, despite colorful characters.
- The Third Murder - Repetitive nature hurts movies message. My first Koreeda film.
- The Possession of Michael King - One of those rare occasions it was so bad I didn't finish.
- Waco (series) - Top-notch acting and care of the topic list this well above average.
- The Death of Stalin - A few belly laughs, but fails to hold up comedically.
- Wildling - A pleasant surprise, reminiscent of Ginger Snaps and When Animals Dream.
- Plagues of Breslau - Interesting Polish film, much like Se7en, with its own very odd twist.
- Merantau -Decent debut collaboration for Uwais/Evans. Jessica is the real star.
